Blindfold Chess 🙈♟️ is pretty hard at the start. However, with the right tips and tricks you can learn this like everything else!

Thew 4 Quarters trick is from the recent episode 📺 where Jens is trying to learn Blindfold Chess in only 30 Days! As a starting point he checked the r/chess and r/blindfoldchess Sub-Reddits to find out If this is even possible in such a short time. In addition he found a lot of useful tips to start this the right way.

In Blindfold Chess visualization is the key and the 4 quarters trick really helps to get started with this. Instead of visualizing all 64 squares at the same time you cut the board into 4 quarters and handle each quarter separately. This is much easier as remembering 16 squares in a 4×4 pattern is much easier than 64 squares with 8×8 all at once.

The full video shows the progress from day 1 to 30 and also includes a lot of tips and tricks, blindfold games and tactics and strategies. If you want to start learning how to play blindfold
Chess you should definitely check this out!

  1. I think it's kasparove vs topalove and the best move is rook to d4

  2. The Board looks gigantic after seeing the quater one

  3. Best Moves for me would have been White Bishop to e6 after that he will eat my Bishop with his pawn then I play Rook to e6 which attacks the Queen so he eats my rook so I put my queen in c7

  4. This is a famous game by kasparov with the rook sac

  5. Nc6+, royal check then knight takes rook Nc6xd8

  6. Rook to E7 then royal fork with the knight

  7. Rxd4 is the best move for white

    Here are four possible scenarios

Scenario 1: Rxd4 (Where both white’s Rooks are sacrificed – White wins)

    1. Rxd4
    2. cxd4
    3. Re7+
    4. Qxe7
    5. Qxd4+
    6. Kb8
    7. Qb6+
    8. Bb7
    9. Nc6+
    10. Ka8
    11. Qa7#

Scenario 2: Rxd4 where Queens are exchanged and black’s King later moves to b6 (White wins)

    1. Rxd4
    2. Qxf4
    3. Rxf4
    4. Nxd5
    5. Rxf7+
    6. Kb6
    7. Re6+
    8. Kxa5
    9. Ra7
    10. b4
    11. Raxa6
    12. Kb5
    13. a4+
    14. Kc4
    15. Re4#

Scenario 3: Rxd4 (Where Queens are exchanged and black King later moves to b8- White wins)

    1. Rxd4
    2. Qxf4
    3. Rxf4
    4. Nxd5
    5. Rxf7+
    6. Kb8
    7. Re6
    8. Nc7
    9. Rb6+
    10. Ka7
    11. Rc6
    12. Bxc6
    13. Nxc6+
    14. Ka8
    15. Nxd8
    16. Rxd8
    17. Rxc7
(End game is better for white because white has an bishop and pawn, and good paw structures on both sides of the board)

Scenario 4: Rxd4 (Where white’s Queen captures pawn at d3 with a check – Black wins)

    1. Rxd4
    2. cxd4
    3. Qxd4+
    4. Qb6
    5. Re7+
    6. Nd7
    7. Rxd7+
    8. Rxd7
    9. Qxb6+
    10. Kxb6
    11. Bxd7
    12. Kxa5
(End game is better for black)
