In this video, I will guide you on How to Gain 500 ELO in #chess. Whether you’re a casual player or a club player, this process can work for you if you are dedicated to improving. This is not a quick fix; it will be challenging, but if you follow this process, I guarantee you will gain those precious ELO points. ๐Ÿ’ช

To begin, you’re going to need a set of chess puzzles. In this instance, I am using Tactics Time 1, but you can use any puzzle set or tactics course that you have. Now, let’s dive into the Seven Circles process. ๐Ÿ”„

The Seven Circles process is a cycle where you run the puzzle set through seven circles. In Circle 1, you complete 15 problems a day until you finish the entire set of 1,000 puzzles. Circle 2 is 30 days, Circle 3 is 60 days, and so on. Ultimately, in Circle 7, you would do all 1,000 puzzles in one day. The full process with this puzzle set takes 132 days or 7,000 puzzles. โฐ

For a more accelerated timetable, you can follow my approach. In the first three circles, complete 60 puzzles a day, allowing you to finish the same 7,000 puzzles in just 65 days. This accelerated method offers an enormous benefit to your rating. ๐Ÿš€

Why go through this process? Because it effectively forces those thousand puzzles into your brain, enhancing your pattern recognition skills. The two- and three-move puzzles in particular will greatly improve your performance in all your chess games. ๐Ÿงฉ

Working on chess every day, along with completing the Seven Circles process, will guarantee that you improve and reach your desired rating goals. So stay consistent, and you’ll see the results you’re looking for! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for watching, and I hope this video helps you on your journey to gaining 500 ELO in chess! ๐Ÿ†

  2. Saw your post about this method on Twitter and Iโ€™ve been thinking of trying it out! Any other tactics courses/books you recommend? Or would you go with the tactics time 1?

    All the best, Alex
