  1. isnt it checkmate in game 3 with rook H2 cause the dark squares are blocked from king and pawn? (44:21)

  2. he really enjoys winning ^^ and it's instructive, comon

  3. Hey Levy!
I've been quite hyped about learning chess because of you lately. I'm now rated about 800 ELO and one thing I struggle with, at least a little, is the openings, simply because I oftentimes don't fully understand how they are improving the situation (do they create a very nice defensive structure, do they allow for great development, do they set up a dangerous attack…). So I just wanted to ask you: when mentioning openings in your videos, could you give a short and sweet explanation about what exactly the purpose is?
I would be really thankful for that. 🙂
Thank you and thanks for making such great content, too.
    Please continue with your videos!

  4. I love how enthusiastic he is when a lower ranked player plays a good move against him, similarly how disappointed he sounds when the other player misses a good move

  5. 1:08:28 Stuff like this is why I stopped using adblock around 5 years ago. As annoying as they are, I do want to support creators with no budget (college student blah blah blah). With the ads increased from 1 per video to 2, I do hope that content creators are getting better compensations for them.

  6. My toxic trait is that I think I can play like Levy

  7. the people playing in this video are too slow there are players with 450 rating that are sharper

  8. This guy could smoke 700's with a blindfold. He smoked 1400's blindfolded my guy.

  9. Maaaaaan long diagonals get me still 😅

  10. I play a bunch of highly rated old men, and I lose always… but they think I’m an amazing player. So ,thanks to u

  11. Thanks Levy! Great instructions and insight for me, as a floundering 500.

  12. I just found out – when annotating a game with red squares & yellow arrows, try holding shift or control keys – it gives you green/yellow/red colors!

  13. 1:00:03 I'm doing pretty good, still watching. How about you? Happy you got the interview with Magnus!

  14. He is so good at chess that he is explaining everything and also simultaneously he is playing tok.. 🥲🥲how??

  15. 3 day old water? Isn’t all water millions of years old?

  16. As a millennial who was going to be a part of the attention deprived generation z just a few years afterwards, I was able to watch the entire video without being distracted a gazillion times.

  17. Me watching gotham vids: I understand chess at a fundamental level, this idiot is making mistakes all over the place, I should play some chess now

Me playing chess: I've blundered my queen 3 games in a row

  18. Always treat to watch your videos to make a comeback to chess hope I break the 700 Elon curse now 😅

  19. So my big question – before watching this because I don't think it's in the vid – is it beneficial for newer players to play at a certain time control? It seems so many play at 5 min (or even 3), meanwhile, my anxious ass is worried about needing plenty of time to think and I play on 10 or actually 15|10. Would it be better for me to play 3 or 5 minute despite how hectic it can get? I could see it good for improving instinct but at the same time if you don't already know what is and isn't a good move from having taken the time to contemplate it, it seems like it'd be more of a hindrance than a help.

  20. Hello I'm a Bangladeshi I like Your chess videos

  21. Ouu for game 2 22:14 i found a crazy way to defend that bishop 4 bishop move

  22. when the black rook was at h4 why not swing the queen over to h6 to threaten mate in the next move?

  23. Great video! Learnt a lot and stayed until the end 🙌
    Gonna watch part 1

  24. this guys is 2700 but barely beating 700s…. i dont get it
